Biography

The Dillinger Escape Plan, formed in 1997 in North New Jersey. Created by the merger of metal and new-school hardcore, the furious din of the Dillinger Escape Plan is the perfect embodiment of intensity, cathartic rage, urgency, and forward-thinking. In 1999, they released their debut full-length record, ‘Calculating Infinity’, a jaw-droppingly intense, mathematical, and inspired opus of immense technical proportion. During the record’s completion, then bassist, Adam Doll was involved in a serious car accident that resulted in him being partially paralysed and unable to continue recording or performing with the band at that time. With new bassist Liam in tow DEP have continued by covering Aphex Twin’s ‘Come To Daddy’, which appeared on an EP with Mike Patton (Faith No More) on vocals. Call it Spazzcore, call it Mathcore, call it what you want - prepare to be amazed..

Band Members:-
Greg Duciato – Vocals
Ben Weinman – Guitar
Brian Benoit – Guitar
Liam Wilson – Bass
Chris Pennie – Drums

Interesting Facts:-
The band funded their European support slot for System of a Down in 2002 entirely with their own credit cards! Current Vocalist Greg Puciato, a long time fan of the band, was chosen to replace the original singer after the band carried out a search on the internet. Fans were invited to try out for the position by downloading a sample track (minus the vocals), recording their attempt over the track and sending the end result to the band.
